Kaori Imabeppu stamps Tee Jing Yi en route to main draw of 2012 Yonex French Badminton Open

Women’s Singles shuttler Kaori Imabeppu stretched her successful run and made her way into the main round of Yonex French badminton Open on Tuesday, October 23, 2012.
She overwhelmed Tee Jing Yi in the last encounter of qualifying round which was staged at Paris.
Both shuttlers challenged each other in all areas of the game and spent 55 minute on court to pile up final figures of 18-21, 21-14 and 21-7.
The Japanese campaigner came back from a horrendous start and saved the honour by winning two valuable points in a row.
On the other hand, the Malaysian female shuttler failed to make best out of her initial advantage and bid farewell to this Super Series in a woeful manner.
Jing Yi played according to the game plan in first set and cornered her opponent with her unbeatable strategy.
She employed interesting tactics as the first half saw her making a gradual progress to a respectable score position of 11. She picked up some speed in later part of the game and dominated her challenger with a striking knock of 21-18.
However, the following set completely changed the story as this time it was Kaori Imabeppu’s turn to serve notice of her supremacy.
The Japanese lady remained at lower end in most part of the game but still she managed to rise on her toes when it mattered.
Initially, Jing Yi was in a strong position to transform her 1-0 lead into a straight-set win but then Kaori turned the tables with a gutsy knock.
She switched on her best after slipping in first half and established a decent advantage with 15-13. She carried this momentum and cruised to a decisive figure of 21-14.
This development made the third set crucial as both contenders were standing just one step away either from the main draw entry or an early exit.
Kaori put her competitor under huge pressure by ruling the court in nine consecutive rallies. She doubled the impact with 13-6 total and then swept the table with a huge difference in 21-7 margin.
Now she will lock horns with the Chinese shuttler Liu Xin in main round of 2012 French Open.
