Kapil Dev rates MS Dhoni’s and his men as best Indian team ever – Cricket News Update
Former Indian skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 and company as the best side ever seen in the history of Indian cricket.
Kapil's comments came in the wake of India’s superb performance over the last few years. After winning the World T20 championship in 2007, the Indians, under Dhoni’s command, kept the good work going and eventually won the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World Cup 2011.
Kapil feels that he has everything to believe that Dhoni’s current troop is the best ever, as no side produced similar results in the past.
"Without any doubt, I would say that this is the best Indian team ever. When you have so many records, so much experience and have done so well, you can't complain about anything at all," said Kapil Dev who is widely-regarded as one of the best cricketers
of all time.
The former all-rounder is not the first one to lavish special praise on Dhoni. After India’s historic victory in the mega event, the former skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sourav-Chandidas-Ganguly-c90746, hailed Dhoni as ‘the greatest ever" to captain the Men in Blue.
Another great Indian cricketer who is a huge admirer of Dhoni’s captaincy skills is the Master Blaster, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556.
The Little Master has been playing International cricket for the last 22 years, and he cited the wicket-keeper batsman as the finest leader he has ever played under.
Kapil, meanwhile, shared that it is not a good idea to compare Dhoni’s XI with his team which clinched the World Cup trophy in 1983.
The Indian legend opined that every Indian must believe that the next cricketing generation is going to be far better than the preceding one.
"You can never compare a son with his father. The fathers never had the modern day gadgets that their sons are used to nowadays. Yet they worked tirelessly to get everything for their kids. That's why it is unfair to compare to generations. The next generation
has always been and will be better than the previous one," added the great Indian skipper who led his country to 39 One Day International (ODI) triumphs during his 74-game-old captaincy career.
