the Lahore City Cricket Association Ground today on December 1.
The Panthers won the toss and chose to field first, with Azizullah (4-0-33-2) and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Khurram-Manzoor-c71388 was sent back to the pavilion on duck in the very first over, but Shahzaib Hasan (33) teamed
up with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Khalid-Latif-c71261 (18) for a 49-run second-wicket partnership.
Khalid Latif was soon trapped lbw by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Asad-Shafiq-c46208 (21) and skipper Afridi (50), however, steadied the innings with
a 46-run partnership for the 5th wicket.
Their efforts got the Dolphins’ total up to 101, after which http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zohaib-Ahmed-c98636, but
Anwar Ali (27*) teamed up with Afridi for a 33-run partnership for the 7th wicket, which got the team total up to 142.
The skipper was soon dislodged, run out by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Sami-c77289 (3*) enabled the Dolphins to post a final total of 164 by the end of 20 overs.
During their turn at bat, the Peshawar Panthers were severely hampered by the Dolphins’ bowling attack – all 5 bowlers picked up at least one wicket each, while http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Anwar-Ali-c45231 (4-0-24-2) led the assault.
Only three of the Panthers’ batsmen were able to surpass single-digit scores, and even then, the contributions of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Imran-Khan-c64237 (11) remained insufficient. By the final over, with 4 balls remaining, the Dolphins
managed to bowl the Panthers out for 124, going on to claim a 40-run win.
