Jose Mourinho’s assistant, Aitor Karanka, expressed his pleasure at Gonzalo Higuain’s performance during Real’s victory over Espanyol.
The Spaniard was glad to discuss the Argentine forward and claimed that he was among the world’s best. Karanka stated that it is joyful to see Higuain put up an excellent performance as he was recently believed to be out of form.
This past Sunday, Los Blancos went head to head against Catalan outfit, Espanyol, in continuance of their Spanish La Liga campaign. The match saw the hosts dominate their opponents and pave their way to a comfortable 5-0 victory.
With Sunday’s victory, Jose Mourinho’s men maintained their terrific run in the season. Los Blancos were impressive throughout the proceedings of the match as their onslaught in La Liga continues.
UEFA President Michel Platini, who was present at the occasion, also observed Real Madrid as a great force in the modern game.
Los Vikingos had many good things to take from the game and Gonzalo Higuain’s return was one of them.
The forward was absolutely tremendous throughout the match and managed to impress many by his outstanding performance. The Argentine international scored a brace for the Spanish Giants and was also the assister for two goals.
Karanka was very appreciative of the player and quoted:
“Mourinho had already said that he was one of the best players in the world and his character is special. You can easily see when he is comfortable on the pitch and when he is not. You can imagine how happy he was.”

Real Madrid’s next match will be against Real Betis as they play away from home. mentor will try and collect all the points in La Liga, in order to ensure the title beforehand.
