The Real Madrid assistant coach has expressed that his side are looking forward to meeting their city rivals in the Madrid derby.
Karanka stated that he is eagerly anticipating the fixture as it is bound to be a thrilling encounter. He added that Atletico are likely to prove themselves as difficult opponents and revealed that Los Merengues will approach the game with caution.
The highly anticipated match will take place on Wednesday at the Estadio http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 Calderon and football audiences all over the world will be watching as Real Madrid lock horns with Atletico Madrid.
While discussing El Derbi Madrileño, Karanka emphasized that Los Blancos will not be short of confidence and the fact that the match comes at a crucial stage of the season will not cause Jose Mourinho’s men to lose concentration.
Karanka also insisted that Real are not suffering from any sort of jitters prior to the local derby and will head into the game with the motive to secure all three points from it.
The main cause of concern for the Santiago Bernabeu faithful, ahead of the match against Atletico, is probably the fact that Los Vikingos have seen their lead over Barcelona drop to four points in the league table.
Earlier this year, Jose Mourinho’s men were sitting at the top of the Spanish Primera Division’s league standings with a healthy advantage of 10 points. However, their recent results have seen their lead reduced to just four.
Although many considered the title race all but over for Barcelona, recent results by the two Spanish giants have left the title chase open, all over again.
However, Jose Mourinho’s assistant has emphasized that the Whites will not be worried about dropping any more points on Wednesday. He also took out time to admire his side’s opponents in mid-week and stated that they have shown great improvement.
While addressing the press, the 38-year-old was quoted as saying:
"We have no fear or anxiety. We are calm. There is no fatigue. The players are great and looking forward to [the game]. We must keep winning. There are less and less games, and the points are becoming more decisive, but we are working hard. We are playing
to win."
"Atletico changed their coach and what has improved the most is their character and unity. Atletico are a good team; they are in need of points and that makes this a difficult game."
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 taking on Getafe on Tuesday, will Real Madrid disintegrate under pressure or will they continue to perform in spectacular fashion as they have all season? Only time can reveal.
