Jose Mourinho’s assistant has voiced his admiration for the Argentine, stating that he wants the player to remain a part of Los Blancos.
Real Madrid’s assistant coach, Aitor Karanka, has expressed his desire to watch Gonzalo Higuain at the Santiago Bernabeu next season. Amidst all the transfer speculation regarding the forward’s future, Karanka has insisted that everyone at Madrid wants him
to stay.
Higuain has proved rather instrumental for the nine-time European champions in the current season’s campaign and his exploits for the Whites have helped them win their first Spanish La Liga triumph in the last three years.
Considering the player has apparently dropped down a notch in the picking order behind http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Karim-Benzema-c20350, it is rumoured that he may want to look into a move away from the Spanish capital.
According to several reports, both, English Premier League side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and Italian Serie A giants Juventus, are keen on acquiring the services of the 24-year-old. Rumours regarding his link with Juventus have continued to spread for quite some time now.
Even Higuain’s father, who also serves as his agent, has hinted towards a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926. The player’s agent revealed that it was an honour for the forward to have gathered Juve’s interest.
Although the player himself downplayed all such speculation, a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu continues to remain on the cards and there is nothing confirmed regarding his future with Los Merengues.
Karanka has stressed that the Spanish capital-based club are desperate to see the striker continuing to play for them. He then went on to discuss that the team did well in the current season’s campaign and relished Madrid’s La Liga triumph.
While talking to reporters, Mourinho’s assistant told reporters:
"Higuain is an important player for us. We are counting on him next year and we don't want him to leave. We achieved our objective which was winning the league and now it is time to celebrate it."
"Now it's time to give opportunities to those who didn't have chances to play this season but our goal is the three points. Our goal against Granada is to win the game."
Will Higuain remain with Los Vikingos or will he depart from the Spanish capital in search of greener pastures? We can only wait and see.
