Karen L. Einsidler of AGUA won gold medal of the Women’s 1500m freestyle in the age category of 55-59 year old on first day of the 2012 Marriott USMS Summer Nationals at the CenturyLink Center Omaha on Thursday, July 5.
The 56-year-old Einsidler devastated hopes of her opponents in the thirty-lap event as she gathered the title of the event.
She remained prominent for the gold spot from the start of the race and hit the finishing blockade with a phenomenal timing of 20 minutes and 53.20 seconds for gold medal.
The champion was followed by Tracy L Grilli of NEM, who remained almost forty-six seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and tapped the finishing end with a nice effort of 21 minutes and 39.18 seconds for silver medal.

Next was the equivalent event in Women’s 60-64 years old category, where Karen Bierwert of NEM snared gold medal of the event with the timing of 22 minutes and 54.22 seconds.
The 60-year-old Bierwert stayed almost one second faster from her subsequent rival, Dorothy M Tourtual of BUMS, who reached the medal rostrum for silver medal by producing a time of 24 minutes and 00.95 seconds.
The second position holder was chased by Carolyn B Lyman of UTAH, who remained 39.60 seconds slower from overwhelming her former finisher and tapped the wall with the timing of 24 minutes and 40.57 seconds.
