The Villans are hoping to sign the 27-year-old in the upcoming weeks after being in negotiations with Feyenoord since the beginning of the summer transfer window. The deal, which could be finalized as soon as the next few days, is expected to be worth 2.5-3 million pounds.
Even though the deal is yet to be finalized, El Ahmadi has admitted he is looking forward to signing with the English Premier League side. The defensive midfielder revealed that while he would miss Feyenoord, he was excited about the challenges he was to face at Aston Villa.

El Ahmadi will be http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-c29347 Lambert’s first signing since taking over as the Aston Villa manager and he will be looking to secure the move before the 5th of July, which is when all the players return from vacations to regroup for the pre-season training.
The Moroccan midfielder signed with Feyenoord in the summer of 2008 on a five year deal for a reported 5 million Euros. Unfortunately for El Ahmadi, he picked up an injury at the beginning of the season which delayed his debut for the side.
During 2011, he was loaned out to Al-Ahli Dubai, where he made ten appearances and scored once in the League, while in his time at the Eredivisie, El Ahmadi made 94 appearances and scored four goals. The player will provide much needed reinforcement in midfield for Aston Villa if the move goes through.
