Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: Mario Gotze is free to decide about his future- Bundesliga news
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said that midfielder Mario Gotze is free to decide about his future. He was talking ahead of Dortmund’s upcoming league fixture against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 24,
at Coface Arena.
The chairman praised Gotze’s talent, saying that the youngster is an exceptional talent and is already on the radar of most top clubs. He claimed that the midfielder is going to honour his deal with the Signal Iduna Park outfit despite drawing interest from
the likes of Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Rummenigge was confident that the teenager will not opt for another German club should he ever feel like parting ways with the club. The chairman added that the club don’t wish to let their product be used at the fellow Bundesliga side but didn’t rule out
any such possibility.
He also admitted about previous offers from two clubs during the summer, following a series of sensational performances towards the end of the 2010/11 campaign.
While talking to the local sports channel, the chairman added, "Those kinds of comments are quite remarkable. There are three parties involved in a transfer. It remains to be seen whether the player agrees with him. There's no doubt about it that Mario is
a fantastic player. He fully deserves all the recent praise. He not only plays very spectacular, but is also quite efficient. And we all know that Bayern have a preference for players who represent http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 at international level..."
Gotze so far has represented the Black Yellows in 42 league games, netting seven goals in return. He has piled up nine appearances for the German national side until now. This season, the midfielder has already shown glimpses of his exquisite touch by grabbing
a goal and a brace of assists from three appearances.
The 19-year-old’s current contract with the club is due to expire in 2014 and Gotze is unlikely to leave the club anytime before that.
