Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Robin Dutt hail Borussia Dortmund on their title triumph: Bundesliga News
Bayer Munich’s chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and SC Freiburg’s boss Robin Dutt has hailed the efforts of Borussia Dortmund on winning the Bundesliga. This feat was achieved after the Borussians secured their seventh title on Saturday. Dortmund registered
a historic 2-0 win over 1.FC Nurnberg on Saturday, April 30 at the Signal Iduna Park which sealed the title for the Bundesliga outfit.
The Black Yellows started the game with a win on their mind as they knew it would give them the title. Two strikes, from Paraguayan forward http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-Lewandowski-c31255 in the 43rd minute,
put the game beyond Nurnberg.
Both the respected figures in German football were all praise for Jurgen Klopp and his outfit who had an outstanding season and have already secured the title with two games still left to be played. Both Rummenigge and Dutt admitted that it was always on
the cards that the Black Yellows would win and was just a matter of time. Both claimed that it is a historic moment for Dortmund as they have won the title for the first time since 2001-02.
"I would like to congratulate Dortmund on a title that they have thoroughly deserved," said Rummenigge. "They have played a fantastic season and are worthy successors to Bayern Munich."
Freiburg’s manager, Dutt mentioned, "I don't think any league title has been deserved as much as this one. I earned my coaching badge on the same course as Jurgen Klopp and can say that he and his team deserve this."
Jurgen Klopp took charge of the Borussians in 2008 and has led his side to the Bundesliga title for the first time in ten years.
Dortmund have now secured the title in their cabinet and even a loss in each of their remaining two games would not make a difference for Klopp’s side. The Borussians have 72 points from 32 games while Bayer Leverkusen are second in the table with 64 points,
with two games in the Bundesliga campaign.
