Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes Bayern should introduce its own formula for success: Bundesliga news
Bayern Munich CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, believes that his club must find their own winning formula rather than copying Manchester United or Barcelona’s tactics.
The Bavarians had a forgettable 2010/11 season surrounded by both on the field and off the field issues. The club failed to win silverware in the 2010/11 season, as they lost the Bundesliga title to Borussia Dortmund and finished third in the league. Die
Bayern lost 1-0 to Schalke’04 in the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal Cup and crashed out of UEFA Champions League after losing to Inter Milan in the round-of-16.
A poor season prompted the club to sack the manager, Louis Van Gaal, and appoint Andries Jonker as the caretaker boss. Rummenigge is confident that the new club manager, Jupp Heynckes, will come out with a definitive plan after a below par 2010/11 season.
The 55-year-old believes that United and Barcelona’s tactical styles are unique in their sense and it requires a long time to adapt to it.
Talking to the reporters, Rummenigge said, "You have to say that the continuity shown by such clubs as Manchester United, in terms of the coaching position is unique. I think it's wonderful that their coach [Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson] has been there for over 25
years.”

"Barca have a youth set-up which is right at the top. However, I believe that every club has to find their own style. I do not think clubs can copy the style of Barca. Every country and every club has their own characteristics." added the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan

The CEO is hungry for Champions League glory next season and given the fact that final will be played at Bayern’s own home, Allianz Arena, it makes him even more desperate for success. The German reckons that the team has the potential to win Europe’s elite
club competition and they have been so close to winning it previously.
Bayern lost 2-0 to Inter Milan in the final of the 2009/10 competition and Rummenigge still feels the pain of losing the match and is desperate to make amends for that loss next season.
