had won 64 percent of her total set points which were almost twice as more points than her opponents in the initial round.
The second set of the match was commenced by Kania and both the players were able to hold their respective serves. They managed to accomplish the feat again in the following two games and the score had tied at two games each at the end of the fourth game.
However, it was in the fifth game that Kania had line faulted on her second serve and endorsed a crucial breakpoint. Mean while, Pliskova had taken the lead by bagging two consecutive games, she then repeated the feat in the following two games and in doing
so; she sealed her victory of the set and the match.
Both the players had performed to their utmost however, due to Pliskova’s agility, stamina, defence and technique she won the match in straight two sets.
