Valery Karpin has said that the Russian Premier League club will try to bring more Russian players to Luzhniki stadium this January, keeping in mind the limit on foreigners
Spartak Moscow head coach, Valery Karpin, has denied rumours linking the Russian Premier League club with Lokomotiv Moscow’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denis-Glushakov-c10855, saying that the Moscow-based club are not interested in strengthening that position at
least for now.
News in Russian media suggested that the Railroaders want to cash-in on Glushakov this winter following the player’s increasing wage demands to extend his contract at Lokomotiv stadium.
It was reported that Spartak are leading the race to sign reportedly 15 million Euros man after offering him a three-year long contract worth 40,000 Euros a week in wages.
However, Karpin denied such stories after saying that the Moscow-based club are not after the for the 25-year-old midfielder, who came close to joining Zenit St. Petersburg this summer.
But given the fact that Spartak signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yura-Movsisyan-c37665 from FC Krasnodar earlier this week despite the 43-year-old completely ruled out the striker’s big move to Moscow, anything could happen.
And while the Spartachi are rumoured to sign a famous yet experienced foreigners this January including http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vagner-c35793 Love, Karpin has told that he will prefer to sign a local lad in order to avoid any problem with respect to the limit
on foreign players.
“I do not know what to do regarding the foreign acquisitions knowing that the committee could change the limit on foreign players this summer.”
“Consider If we sign foreigner after spending a lot of money and a big salary but what will happen in the summer if they put decrease the limit of foreign players in the squad. The same player will sit on bench, that what going
to happen and not because he's a bad player but because the limit does not allow him to play," the Intertoto Cup winner was quoted as saying.
There is little arguing to the statement that Spartak are among few clubs in the Russian championship who have plenty of foreigners such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kim-c20955 Kallstrom and
Nicolas Pareja among others.
