Valery Karpin has told the Spartak Moscow striker to prove himself after blaming Unai Emery for his dip in form and has urged the Russian Premier League club’s player to perform
Spartak Moscow’s newly appointed head coach, Valery Karpin, has warned http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Artyom-Dzyuba-c6767 to learn from his mistakes after the 24-year-old striker uttered negative comments against Unai Emery in a press conference after their 5-1 defeat
against Dynamo Moscow at home.
The Russian forward accused the Spanish tactician of playing foreign player more often instead of fielding strong and experienced Russian players. He also blamed the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-CF-c40864 manager for his struggling form, saying that
he does not like the bench role.
However, Dzyuba made a formal apology in front of the Russian Premier League club’s management after their humiliating defeat against their arch rival at Luzhniki stadium on Sunday.
Karpin, who returned to the managerial position at Moscow six months after being replaced by Emery at the helm, told Dzyuba to start performing if he is prove the former manager wrong.
“Yesterday, I was talking to him on this subject. I told him that such things are not allowed and he apologized. He needs to chose his words carefully and need to sense responsibility. Right now, he has the chance to prove.” The
former Real Sociedad man was quoted as saying.
Spartak have now entered a phase where they will play difficult matches against Zenit St. Petersburg, Rubin Kazan and Terek Grozny. Karpin assured the fans of winning back-to-back three matches in order to stabilize the proceedings.
“I will try to alter the situation and I have no other desire other than to win the remaining three matches of the first round in the Russian championship. This is the minimum and maximum task for the near future.” He concluded.
There is little arguing to the statement that Karpin has joined the Russian outfit at a difficult time.
The Red-Whites endured a frustrating start to the league campaign and find themselves at the 7th spot on the league table, having mustered just 6 league wins out of a possible 14 matches.
