Karrie Webb to participate in the Volvik RACV Ladies Masters 2013
One of the most prosperous women golfers, Karrie Webb, has given the green signal that she will be returning to participate in the Volvik RACV Ladies Masters that starts from the 1st of February.
The Australian has a remarkable record on the Ladies Masters. She has amassed seven wins, four runner-up positions and finished within the top-ten four times.
When asked about her views on returning to the tournament, the Australian expressed, “I am very pleased that I am returning to RACV Royal Pines where I have so many great memories in the past”.
She continued, “My nieces and nephews will be joining me so I look forward to some good golf and time on the beach on the beautiful Gold Coast and all that it has to offer”.
The Volvik RACV Ladies Masters will be played with a new set of rules, with just three rounds for the players to exhibit their skills on the fairways.
The seasoned golfer said that she has worked out a plan to make sure that she dominates the tournament. She further stated that playing three rounds in the Ladies Masters is not a new experience for the players.
The first round of the tournament has been cancelled before due to torrential rain but the experience this time around will be different, as every participant will come out with a mind set of charging in and getting the lead as early as possible.
She favoured this approach and said that, with three days to play on the fairways, there will be little or no time to make a comeback.
Last year, the women’s golf pioneer said that she was not able to participate in the tournament. Having missed the Ladies Masters, she will definitely be on a look out to improve her record on the Australian Gold Coast fairways.
The Chairman of the Volvik RACV Ladies Masters, Bob Tuohy, was ecstatic when he heard that Webb is participating this year.
He excitedly shared that Webb will be returning this year to fancy her chances for an eight title at the prestigious event.
He continued by saying that the high profile golfer is a huge asset for Australian golf and it is always a delight to see her exhibit her golfing skills.
