Katana (kendo) VS jian (kung fu)!!!! Who will win?!?!?!?

both swordsmen are masters of their arts.

they have the same physical abilities (strength, speed, dexterity, etc.) they mirrored each other. so basically, they're like the same person fighting himself.

so you basically have grown two clones and hoped one of the "twin" clones didn't turn into danny devito and you got two AH-nolds?

ok at least you realize the physical characteristics-

first lets talk about your premise- kendo, teaches shinai- it does not teach you to use a sword- it is a sport form that you can however take some minimal amount of sword knowledge to a historically accurate kenjutsu (swordsmanship) class.

"kung fu" does not automatically teach jian- so likewise you can get a person only knowledgeable in "dancing" and performing with a sword- not actually how to hit the other guy.

at least the kendoka will have experience hitting- but if all he has ever done was kendo- he won't know how to cut properly.

If you take out the errors and have a person trained in jian and the other in use of a katana- all otehr things bieng equal (two clones- both ah-nolds, no armor or other weapons, same legth of time training, same level of quality and realistic training methods) then it will come down to luck.

you have presented two identical people, with identical training methodology so the only "x" factor is luck.

niether sword itself holds an advantage over the other, one is a straight bladed double edged (long and short edge) cutting and thrusting weapon, the other a single edged cutting weapon with thrusting capability but not as great as a straight blade.

basically neither has a huge advantage- if one of them had a spear then the advantage would go to them. the weapons really are so very similar it wouldn't give one over the other an advantage-

I have a question for you.. who would win?  The McDonald's double cheeseburger or Burger King's?  Burger King boasts more beef.. but McDonald's ratio of meat to cheese to bread is more than adequate.  Also, McDonald's rocks my socks with their grilled onions..
