Katherine Hull all set for Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012
Australian Katherine Hull, who won her last victory at the Navistar LPGA Classic in October 2010, is able to rattle rivals at the coming Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012, set to be played from August 9-12, at
Highland Meadows Golf Club, Ohio.
Hull has been trying to win an LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) title since she hoisted her last trophy at the Navistar LPGA Classic in 2010, but has not been able to prove her mettle. However, the
coming tournament at Highland Meadows Golf Club can give her an opportunity to end her victory drought.
Hull may have made up her mind about doing something amazing this time, but the roster at the Jamie Farr Toledo is pretty strong as it will be featuring most of the past winners and top-ranked professional
contenders.
Given her profile, the Aussie star appears to be in a stronger position than most of the other players in the 144-player field.
Hull, who is known for her solid putting skills, is keen to make up for missed opportunities by relishing triumph at the Highland Meadows Golf Club and gaining the attentions of her fans and American spectators.
Analysts said that the LPGA titan has been a little disappointed not to rack up a title in the 2012 season. They added that she has played plenty of golf since turning professional in 2003, so it is time for
her to head back to her winning ways.
The 30-year-old Aussie may well be overshadowed by the participation of players like current world number one Yani Tseng, Stacy Lewis, Na Yeon Choi, Shanshan Feng and Suzann Pettersen of Norway, but the ambitious
golfer believes that her triumph in the LPGA tournament will give a boost to her confidence after her lacklustre campaign in most of the recent events like the Evian Masters 2012.
The year 2011 had been pretty tough for Hull, as all she could do was make desperate attempts to record a victory. Currently ranked 54th, the Australian professional has already vowed to make it
to the top 20 in the Women’s world Golf Rankings this year, but it remains to be seen how she regains her form.
