Kathleen Hersey captures Women’s 200m butterfly title – 2011 USA Swimming Long Course Nationals
TXLAST’s Kathleen Hersey dominated day four with her scintillating swim at the 2011 USA Swimming Long Course Nationals in Paloalto, California, on Friday, August 5.
The final session of the competition completed the Women’s 200m butterfly final, in which Hersey came out vigorously and won the title with a winning time of 2 minutes and 07.61 seconds.
Meanwhile, Lyndsay Paul De of TROJCA picked up the silver medal on the podium by submitting a time of 2 minutes and 09.47 seconds, whereas, Teresa Crippen of GAACMA earned bronze with an impressive time of 2 minutes and 10.08 seconds.
Subsequently, Kimberly Vandenberg of NYACMR was placed fourth by posting a time of 2 minutes and 10.14 seconds, while Elaine Breeden of STANPC grabbed fifth spot in a time of 2 minutes and 10.28 seconds. Kelsey Floyd of VOLSSE finished sixth on the podium
in a time of 2 minutes and 10.77 seconds, whereas, Katherine Mills of MACNC was placed seventh in 2 minutes and 11.51 seconds.
Alyssa Anderson of FORDAZ earned eighth place honours by submitting a time of 2 minutes and 11.71 seconds. Alison Haulsee of NOVAVA was placed ninth in 2 minutes and 11.96 seconds, whereas, Andrea Taylor of STANPC wound up tenth in 2 minutes and 12.15 seconds.
 
In the meantime, Claire Donahue of WKUKY won the Women’s 200m butterfly B final with a triumphant time of 2 minutes and 10.16 seconds, while Natalie Adams of AGSGU hit the wall in 2 minutes and 10.48 seconds to settle second on the podium. Jasmine Tosky
of PASAPC was placed third in 2 minutes and 10.75 seconds, whereas, Rachel Naurath of NOVAVA finished fourth in a time of 2 minutes and 11.90 seconds.
Additionally, Olivia Barker of SANDCA topped the Women’s 200m butterfly C final meet with a winning time of 2 minutes and 11.65 seconds. Jamie Bohunicky of GSCFL wound up second by posting a time of 2 minutes and 12.10 seconds, while Haley Lips of YSSCSC
settled third in a time of 2 minutes and 12.14 seconds.
