Katie Hinrichs joins the Cougar staff – Volleyball news
In a recent announcement, the head coach of the Cougars, Jen Greeny, revealed that Katie Hinrichs has become part of the Washington State University’s volleyball team as a Operations Coordinator.
Greeny made the following comments on having Hinrichs onboard the Cougar squad: "Katie is a great addition to the Cougar Volleyball staff. She is familiar with our coaching style and has all of the skills necessary to help build this program."
Hinrichs is not new to the world of volleyball and has been playing the sport since she was a child. At Pullman High School, Hinrichs actively took part in various sports including basketball, softball and volleyball. Hinrichs did not go unnoticed during

Pullman volleyball team was able to win the state championship for the first time in 2005 with Hinrichs on board. The next two years they also made it as one of the best eight teams in the state.

from basketball and volleyball, Hinrichs was also a part of the softball team for four years. Hinrich’s outstanding performance led her to earn the MVP title of the softball team a total of three times. Her other athletic accomplishments include being named
the Female Athlete of the Year in 2007 while Hinrichs was in Pullman.
While Hinrichs was playing volleyball for Lewis-Clark State College, they were able to set new records. Among other things, the Warriors won the Frontier Conference championship a total of four times. The Warriors were able to tally 112 victories and 24
