Katikies, Santorini - has anyone suffered from insect bites stemming from sleeping on mattresses in room?

Question

A doctor called and paid for by Katikies Hotel confirmed we received hundreds of insect bites which we believe came from sleeping on the mattress in Suite 24? The hotel changed the mattress and the bites ceased. Unfortunately our vacation was pretty much ruined. The bites very very unsightly not to mention itchy. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar problem at Katikies Hotel?

Maybe it's a flea problem. That's something probably caused by previous guests and their stuff, or if the mattress was stored in a humid basement during the winter. Good thing they changed the mattress cause fleas carry diseases. You shouldn't pay the hotel  

at all. Trust me, I'm Greek and I hate those greedy hotel owners. Sorry for the inconvenience

no, but thanks for the warning. i'm against frivolous litigation, but i'd be calling a lawyer. hope you are fairly compensated.

No,  I haven't and I know Katikies hotel very-very well . I can assure you the hotel is not owned by 'greedy people' ,  of course there are some but this hotel is not one of those.

I also think you should e-mail tripadvisor as Asimenia suggested.  It is only fare to give the hotel the chance to explain what happened and defend its reputation.  This is an one way forum.  They cannot see what you wrote and what you wrote might as well be slander.  In the same way I can defame any hotel I please.  Saying the room number is hardly evidence.  (I am not saying you are lying,  but I think it is only fair to hear both sides of the story)
