The top fastest pace was followed by Jakabos, who remained 0.35 seconds apart and reached the finishing wall for silver medal by posting an effort of 4 minutes and 28.31 seconds.
The silver medallist was traced by Miyu Otsuka of Japan, who was 5.24 seconds behind and clocked an effort of 4 minutes and 33.55 seconds for bronze medal.
Otsuka was followed by Jessica Pengelly of South Africa, who was 0.08 seconds slower and appeared on the finishing wall for fourth position by producing an effort of 4 minutes and 33.63 seconds.
Subsequently, Pengelly was chased by Jacqueline Staples of Australia, who stayed considerably slower from her former finisher and reached the finishing end for fifth place by clocking an effort of 4 minutes and 43.21 seconds.
Staples was chased by Leah Cutting of Australia, who suffered a loss of almost two seconds from her foregoing finisher and concluded her race in sixth place by hitting the wall with an effort of 4 minutes and 45.14 seconds.
