Anzor Kavazashvili has shared his views after the Russian national team drew 1-1 against Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday
Russian Football Union Chairman, Anzor Kavazashvili, has commented on the Russian national team’s future prospects after seeing his national side in action in an International friendly game against Ivory Coast at Lokomotiv Stadium.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-Dzagoev-c4249 scored the opening goal of the match on 55th minute.
Kavazashvili has urged Russia to step up in the near future if they are to qualify for the World Cup. He admitted that there is a lot of hard work that is needed to be done before they can say Russia are making significant progress.
Kavazashvili believes that the Russian national football team is likely to develop and progress under the new head coach. The Italian tactician signed a two-year contract after replacing d**k Advocaat.
Advocaat resigned from the managerial post following a disappointing Euro 2012 campaign last month. The former Zenit St. Petersburg manager could not save Russia from elimination after his side suffered a 1-0 defeat in the last
group stage game against Greece.
Kavazashvili revealed that Capello, who is famous for developing young players, rightly included CSKA Moscow’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Kokorin-c4576 and Anzhi Makhachkala’s Arseniy Logashov in the team sheet ahead
of Wednesday’s match.
“I was surprised to see Schennikov. Though he is only a young man, he has experience of playing in the Champions League with CSKA. However, he played nervously for the national team.”
“Logashov went well, worked pretty confident, but I think he needs more time and is not fully prepared for the national team.”
“It seems that the composition is normal. I mean that new comers, who have been called at this time, can remain with the reserves to develop even further. In my time, it was an honour to receive national team call-up.” The Soviet
Top League champion was quoted as saying.
Kavazashvili went on to admit that Russia lacked attacking options and gave the example of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Kerzhakov-c4569.
