Hi I'm trying to decide which bike to buy. I'm leaning towards the 900 but am worried that within a few weeks I'll be wishing I had something bigger. I am not a newbie rider but also I haven't been riding for years. I currently own a 1971 Honda CB 450 but am looking to go bigger. If anyone that is experienced can help I'd appreciate it.

  1. I would get the 900 when they are that big the 1500 is not going to be that much more powerful. All you want is to ride at the posted speed  limit.

  2. if u have been riding  a 450 dont go for the 1500 if u want something fast get the 900 or a 950 but before u really get into riding it be careful nad get a feel of that much power actually just get a 750 if u r dont take the advice above and wanna ride all out

  3. Both are good bikes, either way you can't go wrong. Personally I'd go for the 1500.  You can probably find a low mileage late model 1500 for less than you would pay for a new 900. The 1500 will be a more comfortable bike to cruise on simply because it's a little larger. It will also have more torque, they'll probably be pretty close at the top speed.
