  1. Sure fill it up with sawdust and STP!  Miracle cures are still out there!


  2. It may just be clutch basket wobble. Not really much to worry about unless you want to replace the clutch basket and all the plates. As long as the clutch operates OK then I shouldn't worry too much. It could be primary chain rattle but I doubt it's that. If it rattles a bit when idling but stops rattling when you rev it  that's OK. It's the noise when it's under load that matters. j*p engines are usually pretty good if they've been maintained correctly. It's probably just normal engine noise but if your worried go to your local repair shop and have the mechanic listen to it. Good luck.

  3. Does the rattle stop or get quieter when you pull in the clutch?

    If it does, it's just the clutch basket rattling.  Most GT-550's did this, as did many old 750 Hondas.
