Kawasaki jet ski stx 900.No water coming out of bypass.What is the canister half way between the bypass tube?

no water coming out of bypass,however engine is not overheating.what is the canister with wires coming out of it and what does it do?I am presuming it is blocked or not working.

That is the water temp sensor. If you have no water at that point or it's too hot, your motor will go into an over rich condition to protect it. If this is not working you should notice a dramatic drop in performance.

Pull all your lines and blow through them with compressed air. (Use only low pressure on the switch itself.) The problem could be at the outlet end or near the impeller where the water comes in.
