  1. 4x4 Utility ATV's

In my opinion the best are the gear drive-shift 4x4's as the Yamaha Big Bear, The Suzuki Eiger or Vinson.

the gear drives use a engine gear and a wet clutch similar to a motorcycle

all other 4x4 ATV's use a cvt clutch, belt drive system similar to a snowmobile, the cvt clutch is a thin piece of sheet metal with springs and weights that simply wear out and can't take the abuse, and the belt is a simple rubber belt that slips when in a pulling or stalling condition and the belt slips when it gets wet as riding thru creeks, open water, or mud.

I have spent years and years towing belt drive ATVs outta the woods and I still can't understand why anybody would buy one! belt drives do not work!

  2. YAMAHA!

my dad has the yamaha 700 raptor. has had it for a little over a year now.

absolutley no problems so far.....except he has crashed a wheelie once on it....outta like a thousand times!!
