Kayak repair?

The bulkhead in my kayak is leaking. whats the best sealant to use. i was thinking that waterproof silicone foam

    If you paddle a Sit On Top, or a whitewater boat, you probably wouldn't have bulkheads.  They are found in sea kayaks and some recreational kayaks.  The bulkhead is the wall that makes the hatch / storage areas in the bow and stern of your boat water tight.  I have them in all three of my kayaks.

  3. Ehh....bulkhead in a kayak? I have two and don't know what you are talking about, sorry. Anyways, assuming your kayak is the normal molded plastic, I'd use pretty much any type of silicone or ABS caulking.

  4. or if its plastic you can get yourself a heat gun and weld some it up from the inside. it provides the best seal by far.
