Keep in mind, this isnt a question for the weekend "kayakers" this is for people who do it as a sport and go in competitions. So anyway! I am on the hunt for a new paddle, Ive tried a few already and havnt found one I really love yet. I have a fairily light kayak and its thin and swift, I need a paddle that will have good power. I'm looking for something medium weight, maybe on the lighter side, something that will be good for speed. I dont have tons of money so nothing zillions of dollers. Anyone have any comments or reviews on any paddles? thanks.

  1. I really like the Werner Camano Paddle. The Camano is a very popular blade shape; particularly good for distance, wind, and a relaxed style that lends itself to endurance. This paddle is meant to be used at a lower stoke angle. The fiberglass construction makes for a lightweight and strong paddle. I highly recommend this paddle. You should be able to find it at REI (rei.com).
