Kaylin Moss grabs Girls 100 yard breast-stroke gold – High School State Championships, Connecticut

Kaylin Moss of Wilton grabbed gold medal of Girls 100 yard breast-stroke at the 2011 High School State Championships in New Haven, Connecticut, on Saturday, November 19.
Moss displayed her outstanding efforts to win gold medal of the breast-stroke discipline. With her breath-taking efforts and promising swim, she out-performed her competitors for the title of the event.
She was the quickest swimmer to dive in to the water. With her noteworthy skills, she managed a lead of 0.88 seconds over Alyssa Storino of Trumbull in the first round. She completed her initial half of the race by clocking a fastest time of 30.04 seconds.
She was followed by Storino, who remained nearly one second behind and completed her initial 50 yards in a time of 30.92 seconds. Storinio was 0.95 seconds ahead of Oliva Leunis of Darien, who completed her first round in a time of 31.87 seconds.
In the next round, Moss confirmed her spot for gold medal by extending her lead to almost three seconds. She appeared on the finishing end with a timing of 1 minute and 02.96 seconds for gold medal.
Her title claiming effort remained just 0.43 seconds away from her own state record of 1 minute and 02.53 seconds, made by Moss in 2011. She also remained 0.34 seconds slower than the open mark of 1 minute and 03.30 seconds, set by Emily Weir of Greenwich
during 2008.
She remained 2.89 seconds ahead of her strongest rival, Storino, who concluded her swim in a time of 1 minute and 05.85 seconds for silver medal.
Meanwhile, Leunis showed her urgency towards the finishing wall and secured third fastest spot on the podium by submitting an effort of 1 minute and 06.26 seconds. The bronze medallist was trailed by Erin Dunstan of New Canaan, who remained 1.11 seconds
behind and finished fourth with a timing of 1 minute and 07.37 seconds.
The fifth fastest spot was earned by Katie Evans of Greenwich, who ended her swim in a time of 1 minute and 07.43 seconds.
The session concluded after the conclusion of all listed events whereas the winner received accolades for their wonderful effort after the session.
