Kedleston expected to thrive in Flannery’s Bistro Rated Race
The T. Stack trained bay colt, Kedleston, is expected to notch up top spot by beating four worthy rivals in the Flannery’s Bistro Rated Race that will be held at Ballinrobe racecourse on Monday, July 23. The €7,245 event over 1 mile and 1 furlong is scheduled to start at 6:50 (GMT).
The three-year-old confident colt has achieved all the three victories of his 12-race career since the dawn of the calendar year. After breaking his maiden with the title of the Follow Dundalk On Facebook 3YO Handicap over 1 mile on January 13, the young and momentous runner marvellously won the Leucillin Horseware Ireland 3YO Handicap again at Dundalk on February 3.
The talented son of Oratorio out of Bluebell Wood was the hot favourite candidate for both the events. Thus, he derived a lot of confidence and fighting spirit from those triumphs.
The maverick sprinter stepped forward to finish as a runner-up in the Dunloe 3YO Handicap at Killarney on May 15. In his last start at Leopardstown on July 5, the skilled colt nicely notched up the first position. That was the Kila Handicap over 1 mile.
Kedleston started his career from the good track of Naas in August 2011. As a whole, his experience with the good grounds had been pleasant. But this time, the enthusiastic colt will be able to overcome this fault line emphatically.
Among his rivals, Snap Alam is the only runner who is potential enough to give tough time to Kedleston. The Ms Joanna Morgan trained bay mare excellently grabbed a grand victory in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Handicap at Sligo on June 19.
Earlier during the same month, the daughter of Alamshar out of Kirvana finished 3rd in the 11-runner race of the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Handicap at Limerick.
Overall, the J. Ryan bred mare has 4 classic conquests to her credit. It seems that she will pose a big challenge to Kedleston. Thus, a fierce battle will be witnessed today, but Kedleston has higher chances to thrive. Good luck to both the worthy contestants.
