Keegan Bradley and Brendan Steele ready to defend their title at Franklin Templeton Shootout
Keegan Bradley and Brendan Steele are all set to defend their Franklin Templeton Shootout crown, which they won last year. The duo entered the tournament as rookies but played excellent golf to win the tournament by three strokes.
This time again, they are very upbeat to defend their crown, especially Keegan, who is in terrific form. Bradley finished second at the recently concluded World Challenge, as the American has answered his critics perfectly at the Sherwood Golf and Country
Club.
The world number fifteen will be looking to defend his crown along with his partner, Steele, at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort.
The tournament is hosted by none other than the legendary golfer Greg Norman.
Franklin Templeton Shootout is not just another tournament, as the strength of the field speaks for itself.
"The group scheduled to compete in December's Franklin Templeton Shootout once again is a reflection of the event's popularity among many of the game's greatest players," said Taylor Ives, Tournament Director.
Franklin Templeton Shootout is a post-PGA season event, and throughout the history, many top golfers have featured in this tournament.
“Once again the balance of these players both as individuals and as teams is excellent and I can see that we will have an exciting competition for the fans and the television audience,” Norman said.
“To a person each of these players has expressed excitement about who they are paired with and enthusiasm about being in the field”.
Bradley will be in confidence after coming off an excellent week at the Sherwood Golf and Country Club. The team of Bradley and Steele will look to become the first team to defend their crown since 2004.
It will not be easy for Keegan and Steele to defend their crown, as numerous high profile players are taking part in this year’s event.
Greg Norman will be teaming up with Fredrik Jacobson for the first time ever, apart from that world number ten, Brandt Snedeker, will be teaming up with his Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III.
Another strong contender for the title will be the team of Ian Poulter and Dustin Johnson.  They were the winners of the tournament in 2010 and will be looking to put up a decent show once again.
