Keen interest shown in Binocular and Rock On Ruby for the Stan James Hurdle
The Cheltenham Festival is a prestigious event that horse-racing enthusiasts enjoy all around the world. It is watched and enjoyed by many people around the world.
The Stan James Champion Hurdle will take place on 13th March, 2012, on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival, a day known as Champions Day.

This race will be the feature race of the day. The race is sponsored by Stan James and a sum of £370,000 has been added to the prize money of this hurdle race. The runners competing in this race have to be older than the age of four.
The distance covered in this race is 2 miles and 110 yards, which the 27 runners participating will have to complete.

Binocular, son of Enrique, out of Bleu Ciel Et Blanc, will be competing in the Stan James Champion Hurdle Challenge Hurdle, at the Cheltenham Festival.
The 8-year-old gelding is trained by the world renowned trainer Nicky Henderson.  Nicky Henderson has trained many outstanding runners and Binocular is no less talented.
He finished as a runner-up in the Grade 1 StanJames.com Fighting Fifth Hurdle, at Newcastle, on 26th November. He was the race favourite but was defeated by Overturn by 4 ½ lengths.
His next performance was much better as he defeated Rock On Ruby by a neck, in the Grade 1 Williamhill.com Christmas Hurdle, at Kempton. Rock On Ruby is also an extremely talented runner, trained by Paul Nicholls. This victory over Rock On Ruby was appreciated
and complimented by his contacts.   
Rock On Ruby is owned by The Festival Goers and had an extremely successful racing career. The 7-year-old gelding is the son of Oscar, out of Stony View, bred by John O’Dwyer,
He secured a first place finish by defeating Empire Levant by 6 lengths, at Newbury, on 26th November, 2011, in the Sportingbet Intermediate Hurdle (Limited Handicap) (Registered As The Gerry Feilden Hurdle).
He finished as a runner-up in the Grade 1 Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle, which was registered as the Baring Bingham Novices’ Hurdle, at Cheltenham, on 16th March, 2011.
He was defeated by First Lieutenant by a short-head.
The Cheltenham Festival will be an exciting event that will take place over a span of 4 days, starting from 13th March, 2012, and ending on 16th March, 2012.
The festival will be enjoyed by the men and women alike as special events are organized for them as well.
