Keep Kicking likely to prevail in Victorian House Window Group Maiden Hurdle
Keep Kicking has a very good chance of winning the Victorian House Window Group Maiden Hurdle at Ffos Las in England on Thursday, March 29, 2012. The class-4 event has a winning cash prize of £2,599.
Going will be good in the 2 mile 4 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 2:20 GMT, and a total of 16 runners have been attracted towards it. Following are the names of all participants: Keep Kicking, Balinroab, And He´s Dreaming, Weekend Millionair,
Sertao, Magic Show, Jayandbee, Union Saint, Ballybough Gorta, Pontyates, Harrys Boy, Lieutenant George, Red Flash, Dont Worry, Lucky Thumb and Our Folly.
Although all runners are quite capable of winning the race, Keep Kicking seems to be in great shape at the moment. This is why the bookies have rated him favourite for the race and the punters will also be encouraged to invest on him.
The five-year-old gelding has entered a couple of hurdles in his career until now, winning none of them. His best result was a runner up finish, which came in his most recent race over hurdles.
Jonjo O'Neill’s trainee started his career off brilliantly, winning his debut event. He followed it up with a decent runner up position in the next one before heading into races over hurdles. However, his first race in such events did not prove to be an
ideal one, as he could only manage a 10th place.
Despite that, Keep Kicking bounced back strongly and secured second position in only his second race over hurdles. The momentum is on his side at the moment and it will be hard to match him at Ffos Las today.
The race favourite runner will be partnered by one of the best jockeys in the business, A. P. McCoy. The veteran rider is 11 away from 550 race victories over hurdles and he has a superb strike rate. He will be looking to dominate proceedings in the race.
Another participant who has got good momentum is, Balinroab, who finished runner up in his most recent race over hurdles. He will be ridden by Richie McLernon, who has earned 47 victories over hurdles.
Other than the top two favourites, no one seems to be in a position to win the race. However, And He´s Dreaming, Weekend Millionair and Sertao might manage to make an impression.
