i'm going to university in the fall and i'm living at home. i'm buying a car very soon and i'm wondering if there is any way to to "hide" it from OSAP (ontario student assistance program) so that i can still receive the full loan that i need to pay for school. i'm not asking to do anything illegal, i'm just asking if lets say for example i put the car in my parents name (they have 2 cars already) would that work?

  1. who is buying the license plates for this car?  whoever buys the license plates is considered the owner of the car.

You can have a vehicle with a value of up to $5,000 before it impacts your OSAP.  Why not be honest and buy an inexpensive car?
