Question:

Keep asking for her forgiveness or let it go?

I have been trying to patch up things with a friend for almost 2 months now and still no answer from her. She has not responsed to my emails, text messages, phone calls or nothing. I am going to be in her area next week and I sent her a message saying I would like to meet her face to face so I can apologize to her and still no response from her. Should I try once more, when I get to her area next week or just leave it at that? I was thinking of sending her a gift basket once I arrive next week, in case she does not want to meet with me still.

  1. I would call her once more when you get into town. If you she gives you no response then I wouldn't worry about it! However, it does depend on what you did because it may take her awhile to get over it.

  2. Contact her one final time. If you have her address, a hand-written note is the way to go. If not, then it had better be email, but make sure it is formally written. No txt-spk, and try to keep emoticons to a minimum. Reiterate how truly sorry you are for whatever it is you have done, and inform her that you will not be contacting her with regards to the matter again. The ball is in her court; if she chooses to contact you, then that's grand and you can work from there. If not, and you have made it perfectly clear that you will be leaving her alone unless she wants to contact you, then her silence will be the answer you need. It's awful when a friendship dies, but if she wants to keep her distance from you, then you should let her. And who knows? She may just need a few months more to deal with whatever she's feeling right now, and she'll contact you when she's good and ready. Make sure your letter tells her how sorry you are, and makes it clear - without being aggressive or pushy - that the ball is now totally in her court. Then leave it. Just leave it. (Please skip the gift basket. Nice idea, but trying WAY too hard.)

  3. I would say give up for now.  You seem to have made many attempts with no returns.  Maybe wait a few months and try again.

  4. I think you should just let her know that you're available whenever she is and then let it go.  Sometimes people need time, and hearing from you over and over might be pissing her off all over again.  Don't send the gift basket, good thought, though.

  5. You have tried enough.  She is getting a thrill out of you kissing her butt to be forgiven.  Let it go.  If she wants to be friends again, she will contact you.  You've done enough.  You made a mistake, you apologized.  Now it's her turn.  If she doesn't want to play any more, you have no control over that.  Don't give her the satisfaction of kissing up any more.

  6. everyone should always accept the forgiveness.

    she probelly does.

but she can still be upset with you

for whatever you did. show up to her house

and show her that you reallly care for her.

  7. Whether it was really bad or not, whatever you did to make her that mad at you, if she has not been responding to you for that long and that many times, I would just forget about it.

But I'm sure it will eat away at you if you are going to be in her area and you don't make an attempt while you are there.  I would attempt to meet up with her, give her a call while you are there.   If she still doesn't respond, then I would for sure just forget about it and forget about her.

I wouldn't send gifts though.  Maybe once you stop calling her, she'll realize she still wants you in her life and she might call you.  Either way, sounds like too much trouble if she's not responding that long.

  8. I think you should let her get over her anger/pain in her own time.  If you are sincerely sorry for whatever happened and asked for her forgiveness, then it is up to her to respond. You might want to drop a short note like "I am so sorry for my behavior.   I will respectfully give you time to heal from the anger and pain.  I hope at some point in the future you will be able to forgive me." Send it off and forgive yourself.

  9. What did you do because if it was something bad then you should let it go.
