I've been working in the US for the last 3 months for an internship and leaving next week (I'm from Canada). I would like to keep a bank account in the US. Is this possible, and if so, how and with which banks?

I'm in San Francisco California right now.

  1. I agree, don't close your current account.  Just go paperless and change the address.

Alternatively, use Ever Bank https://www.everbank.com/  They have high yield on checking account, and also World Currency Access account.  So if you ever want to convert Canadian to US dollar or vice versa, you'll have a great set up.

    Best wishes.

  2. Don't close the account you currently have.  You can get your statements online.
