My 90 year old father uses a land line for his email. He communicates with the community chat group but recently, after no changes, started getting this message when he tried to send a message to the group. "We are unable to deliver messages from (and his email address) to lwcapost@yahoogroups.com. You can only send plain text msgs to this group. HTML or other formats are not allowed". He (and I) don't know what this means - it's worked for the last 14 years and now it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

  1. the group doesn't allow 'Email attachments are not permitted' if a link, html, an embedded phtot or attachment is within an e-mail, it can result in that that return. what itmeans more or less is, you can only send a post that contains typing only.

have him try posting off the group if he's able to and see what happens. to prevent this you could also allow attachments to be distributed.
