Keep the coffe jokes i need real insight plz this is real important to me !!!! ?

my mind is made up i am going to college, i am going to finish i am going to pass and i am giving it 200%far as me being tired or drained i just have to fight it and stay focused but even though allot of days i maybe tired with the will power that i want it bad enough will that be enough to keep me going my kids are my focus and my focus is that i need something more full filling i must do this no time to be playing around but where will i get the energy from honestly

  1. I co-sign all the other answers - and add - develop a support system.  I am sure there are other mother's in your shoes - reach out and support each other.  Study groups - where kids play together - whatever works.  While it is great to imagine yourself graduating don't try to "eat the elephant in one bite" so to speak.  Get through today, tomorrow will worry about itself.

    You should also look at the statement "my kids are my focus" - as they should be but..... is there guilt in that statement?  Kids need love, care and attention but they also need to know they are not the center of the universe. I have two daughters - I run several small businesses from home, sometimes I just have to say, FIND SOMETHING TO DO, I am not your 24/7 entertainer.  

    I also started giving age appropriate chores, empty dishwasher, make bed, sweep... they get a lot out of being responsible for something and it gives me a break.

    I don't know how old they are but, do homework together, if they are little give them homework while you are doing homework, like color this picture, write these numbers.

    I will be praying for you - we are capable of immeasurably more than we think, you are limited by your own mind, nothing more.


  2. A regular exercise program will help you develop more energy, and it will do it quickly. Don't eat turkey, which has the opposite effect.

    eat healthy, full of fruits and vegetable meals

    cut out the boxed foods full of preservatives

    cut out the soda and flavored water... might as well just drink coffee for all the good they'll do you.

    meditation! even if you're not the religious type... and especially if you're the religious type.

    and turkey has nothing to do with it... you'd have to eat a whole turkey to get enough tryptophan to actually make you sleepy.

  5. Just do it. To be honest if you need all sorts of extra energy thing for college perhaps it isn't the right answer for you.  

  6. You need to still make sure to try to get enough sleep, and take a good multi-vitamin. I work full-time graveyard shift and have 4 housecleaning jobs and I drink energy drinks and coffee...more than I should. Find a baby-sitter that is willing to keep your kids overnight at least once during the week so you can get a full night's rest.
