Keep worrying about family in natural disaster areas?

Question

I have several family members who chose to make their homes in areas where natural disasters happen annually.

It's not like they don't have the $ to move to a safer area. If I didn't call them when it was going on they think I don't care about them.

Could they just be living there to continue to solicit sympathy from friends, and family when their local friend and neighbors have left these

areas?

I'm talking hurricanes in the Fl. panhandle as well as wildfires, and earthquakes in San Bernadino County, Ca.

There is no such place as a 'safe area'.. most people will have fires, flooding, blizzards, tornadoes to deal with if its not hurricanes and earthquakes.  I think the contributer above is being sarcastic about the 'safe inner cities' cause they are about as safe as a war zone.

There is not one single 'safe area' on this whole planet you need to get some counseling about your paranoia.

I agree. Everyone should move to our very safe inner cities. Living in the country is far to dangerous.

People will live in thier own choice of areas, nothing we can do about that, but being concerned about them is a good thing

You are kind of right some people chooice to lived in places like that and they know  that the  weather conditions are dangereous, some of my relatives lives in   california and they are mad at me because i refused to go over there, some also lives in Florida and i do go to see those some time since we Lived in Georgia and we are kind of close, But things are happening know because of the Global condition  and el nino  y la nina weather-condition. i understand that we are living in trouble times and they is no safe place any more we all just have to make the best of things and hold on to each other, pray and helped. those who are in need if we can , i mean the weather is bad all over the World, just look at the news. Don't forget this is September so is Hurricane season in the USA. I Prayed for every one, and hope the rest will leave the area i just hope  they will not want to go back and less they are going to pick up they  belongings.  Peace to you.
