i just bought a Mitsubishi Eclipse that has been lowered. Ive had it for about a week and already bottomed out and broke my exhaust. The car has neon all around on the inside and i was thinking about buying some underglow to go with it. Just want to know if there are any tips that can keep my car from bottoming out and breaking anything.

  1. Yes, restore the original suspension height.  Lowered cars are, for the most part, useless for everyday driving, they are only good for show.

Sorry, I know it isn't what you wanted to hear, but you bought the lowered vehicle for looks, didn't you?

  2. a skid plate.

  3. Well do you live on or near bumpy roads? 'Cause I do, and I have the same problem when I drive my stepmom's Mustang. I just drive really slow over bumps, and I keep my tires on the big bumps instead of straddling them. Straddling them always causes me to bottom out. But if it happens to you on flat and nice roads, then I don't know, sorry.  :( but hopefully I helped... I'm still a teenager, a beginner driver.
