Keeper Fantasy football leauge?

I started a 5 year keeper leauge. I was wondering when you typically have people assign their keepers. RIght after season or right before the draft or during the season?

I've done it right after the season, but no one knows what next year's draft will look like. Like this past year, I might have kept Chad Johnson and then he drops to a 3rd rounder. And you might keep LT and get the first pick in this year's draft. You know? That just doesn't seem fair to me. So from that point on I always did it a few days befroe the draft (with full disclosure so everyone knows who you're keeping and they can set their drafts up accordingly).

I like doing after the season since you can factor in more information. Plus its more like they do it in actual football.
