Question:

Keeper Question: TJ Housh or Wes Welker?

Standard league with pretty basic rules--6 for a TD and 1 for every 10 yds. No points or bonus for receptions. A fumble is -1.

Here's the dilemma:

They nearly mirrored each other last year with BOTH having personal best seasons. TJ upped Wes by only 4 touchdowns--which is a lot of points in FF.

Palmer is a passing machine because Cincy trails behind in nearly every game. AND, the Housch is in a contract. BUT, he is 31, plays in arguably one of the most difficult conferences, and Chad Johnson will be calling for TD balls for extra TV time.

Brady is frickin Tom Brady. Trailing or leading, the Pats showed they will pass the ball. AND, with the departure of Stallworth, clearly Welker is the number two guy. BUT, who knows what the Pats will do this year.

I'm leaning towards Wes Welker. What do you all think, and why?

  1. i think wes is going to get a lot of td's because now brady truss him so there is some pointish

  2. Lean toward TJ...every thing you said about Cincy is true, but Palmer doesn't give a S**t about Ocho Cinco's opinion.  Additionally with a healthy Maroney back in the Pats offense they will commit to the run a little more.  Johnson will get a lot of passes thrown to him...TJ will get the red zone passes.

  3. Wes Welker

  4. With teams doubling and tripling moss all the time Welker seemed to become Brady's go to guy towards the end of the season.  He always gets open in the slot and I think is pretty reliable to get yardage for you every game.  He might lack behind housh in touchdowns though because brady goes to moss most of the time in touchdown situations.  Housh will have some huge games, but I dont think he will every week.  If you are looking for someone to produce decent numbers every week its Welker.  If you are looking for some monster games every couple weeks with mediocre games in between then take housh.  Personally I take Welker for his consistency.

  5. tj housh all the way. tj is the #1 receiver for the bengals and carson palmer is expected to have a good year. as for welker hes a #2 receiver. id get tj cuz i think that hes gonna be more of a target than welker (since moss is gonna be the #1 receiver)
