Keeping a tank with sand clean?

Question

Can I use a gravel siphon on sand? I have a 30 gallon tank with 4 african dwarf frogs that is heavily planted. Is there a way to clean the sand? I was afriad a siphon would suck up the sand as well.

always clean your tank

my tank is not always clean last days

but now i always clean it every 5th day of the week!

yeah, it would suck up the sand, but you can still use it. just a different method. here is a vid that should show you how to do it:

apart from that, you do all the otehr regular maintinance per usual.
