(Bags) Best of British Column In Racing Post Unraced Stakes, helped the one-year-old Lordsbury Mayo break his maiden.
The black dog with an urge of winning, started his run from trap 6, his rapidness viewed that wining the purse was a cinch for the young dog.
Trainer G L Davidson’s greyhound kept himself sustained at the leading position from the beginning of the race, his superb chase not only helped him in breaking his maiden, but he also won the purse of £1000 for his trainer.
Royal Impact’s son out of Delwood Emma, Lordsbury Mayo reached the wire by covering 480 meters distance in 29 minutes and 59 seconds.
Romeo Vermeer a two-year-old greyhound reached the finish line seven minutes late then Lordsbury Mayo, with a slow start his chase initialized from trap 4, the black dog tried every chance to go ahead Mayo, but the situation was in over his head.
Trainer D P Firmager’s hound was left ¾ lengths behind the winner of the race and by covering the total distance in 29 minutes and 66 seconds the dog finished second.
Son of Westmead Diver out of Westmead Angel, Sign Mason, was young hound who finished third in (Bags) Best of British Column In Racing Post Unraced Stakes.
The two-year-old tried to put all his effort in his very first race, but nothing worked out. His chase for achieving the victory was from trap 3, the black dog was 2 lengths behind Romeo Vermeer.
Although he kept on running, but he covered the distance in 29 minutes and 81 seconds which was a low blow for trainer S Mavrias.
Hedsor Lucas who was 1 ¼ lengths behind Sign Mason, finished fourth for trainer M A Cumner in the race. The black dog started his chase from trap 5, he tried every chance to compete his contenders but it did not help him. The one-year-old covered his distance in 29 minutes and 92 seconds. 
Fur Soles was ¾ lengths behind Hedsor Lucas, both hounds gave a tough race to each other, the fawn dog Fur Soles reached the wire 5 seconds late then Lucas.
Trainer D Puddy’s two-year-old finished fifth in the race, he started his chase from trap 1 and reached the wire in 29 minutes and 97 seconds.
The last one to reach the finish line in the (Bags) Best of British Column in Racing Post Unraced Stakes was the one-year-old trainer A E Gardiner’s Hovex Impact.
The young dog from the starting of the race was crowded and could not keep up his speed, he reached the wire in 30 minutes and 39 seconds.
Although the (BAGS) BEST OF BRITISH COLUMN IN RACING POST UNRACED STAKES was the initial race for all six dogs participating in it, but it created a happy moment for Lordsbury Mayo who had his maiden broken and won the purse.
