Keeping squirrels from eating bulbs?

I have planted spider lilly and daffidel bulbs only to have them eaten. What product is available to prevent this. Once I could get a peppery product mixed with wild bird seed which worked but now can't find. Have tried other products with little success. Thanks.

  1. you can try chili or cayenne pepper

  2. My bulb beds are wrapped in chicken wire.  Use a burried roll about 6" in diameter and be sure to close off the ends as the little buggers are clever.  Secure with wire and the bulbs are safe.

Chemicals are ineffective when the squirrels are foraging in the Winter after eating up their nut supply.

  3. try placing a strip of screen or netting on top of the bulbs and cover with soil. The flowers will still come through in the spring.

  4. Hi here is a well known attack  go  buy your self the biggest  can of Cyann Pepper.. that will deter  them   just  sprinkle it on there it washes  off  so after rains re treat...  works  great.
