Keeping the computer to myself?!?!

Does anyone else's husband, spouse, or significant other come over to the computer and just take it over? He says he wants to show me something and then it turns into an hour long session of him controlling the computer! Am I alone in this and how do i get him to go away?

  1. LOL, yeah, I know how that can be. But now he has his own computer and doesn't get on mine anymore. So we don't have that issue

  2. What are you trying to hide?

  3. Well I bought myself a laptop so my wife could use the home computer.  If this is not doable then I would say walk away and let him know your a little ticked.  When he asks why your mad tell him why. Hope this helps.

  4. yeah so i like cows

  5. Tell him that its broke. lol. My friend does the same thing. Tell me if you have a good answer. Since I'm just a kid I can just say that my mom doesn't want me to be on. Easy enough

  6. Ugh, I hate when people do that! Do not let him on, tell him he can show you when you're done.

  7. ofc ur not alone!!! men are like that!!! they do it to the computer, TV, radio and every other thing which doesnt mean work!!

  8. Get another computer for him.

  9. Push him off the chair :)

  10. Well, if you're married I know you could talk to him. When you were married, you become one so what is his is also yours. You can talk to him and explain to him that you also need to use the computer. Maybe he is also doing something more important that he have stayed longer in the computer.

anyway, you can't really forced him to go away. Just wait and I know he will get tired soon.

    good luck!

  11. tell him to get another computer, that's how we solved the problem in my house, we now have 7 for 4 people

  12. Walk away... in a nice manner. Look at it this way: He's going to be using it anyway. Odds are he'll get bored of surfing by himself and not being able to show you anything and log off quicker. If he doesn't, just come back about an hour later and ask him if he's done.

We have separate computers, but my husband sometimes forgets this and takes over mine as well, but I find leaving him alone with it and asking him if he's done works pretty well.

  13. i hate when ppl do that to.

  14. No...my bf doesn't know hardly anything about computers, but he gets mad when I'm online a lot.

  15. .Make a schedule of when to use the computer

.Agree to some sort of a deal

.Talk to him about his problem; he might not notice he's doing this

  16. tell him to wait no mattwer what or tell him to get a lptop or something

  17. w/e

  18. play music that he hates

make the desktop background sonmething that will make him feel uncomfortable.

    do a massive f**t.

  19. Yeh i get that with my sister, brother, father all that.....do it to them a few times and they still dont get the message.

If you have a passworded profile on the comp as in you click your name and type in a password to log in, then when they come over hold down the windows flag key and the letter L. this will lock the computer and they need to know your password to log back on therefore all they can do is watch a screen and give you the 'i really wanted to show you that' speech.

if you dont have a password get one :) then watch the hair fall out and pouting start while your on the computer!

  20. Yes, used to do this to my husband even though it was his computer!

  21. Don't get out of your seat.  If you stay in front of the computer, he can't take it over.

    Get him his own computer.

  22. get ur own computer, or tell them that ur busy
