Keeping towels looking new

What is the best way to stop towels from shrinking around the stitching, and to keep them looking and feeling nice and fluffy?

  1. Gain or Tide to wash, suavitel for softener and hang to dry.  I also fluff in the dryer to keep them soft. (with a fabric sheet or two)


  2. Buy better quality towels, I've noticed that the towels I spend a bit more for don't do that.  The ones that go on sale for 2 or 3 bucks seem to do that, no matter how I wash them.

    I usually wash my towels in cold/warm water and dry in the dryer with a fabric softener sheet

  3. First of all, buy a good quality towel. If you do, you will not have this problem. Wash towels with Tide and use Downy Fabric Softener. Also use Clorox 2 to maintain color if your towels are colored. (Regular bleach if your towels are white like mine) I dry my towels on Casual Setting with Normal heat and they still look just as new!
