  1. It can always be good to train distances that are a little longer than your event too. Combine that with maybe some 200 meter repeats. My coach also makes me do 10 or 12, 400 meter repeats. Try to keep a consistent pace the entire time. You have the natural speed, now just try to work on your form and your technique. Good Luck! I hope you can keep up the good work.

  2. do repeats of alternating 600m and 300m fast, this should help you take time off that even

  3. not too bad..thats about what i got my first time too! but..you should try some repeat 200's under 26 seconds each. give your self some relax time in between each and do about 5. thats what we do!!

  4. haha. wow i just love 400m questions. there are various aproaches to train for the race. you can do one of these work outs

[3] 400's 10 minute break in between, you have to make your 200 in 24sec. mark where you are when you reach  55sec. the next two strive to move the mark closer to the finish line or at least at the same place.

    or

[3] 500's fast strides for the first 350 then sprint like h**l the last 150

    or

    [8] 200's in 25 seconds

lol try not to kill yourself trust me there very hard...
