The Borussia Dortmund captain has insisted that his side can with the UEFA Champions League if they continue their impressive performances
The Signal Iduna Park outfit has progressed to the round-of-16 in Europe’s premier club competition and topped their group despite the presence of the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Ajax Amsterdam.
The German champions are being considered amongst the favourites to win the competition and Kehl is optimistic that the results will keep coming. The side will take on Shakhtar Donetsk in the next phase and the team is expected
to progress to the next phase.

expects the players to continue with their good performances in the remaining course of the season.
“I wouldn't say we are favourites for the title. We have done well so far, but we don't let our dreams get ahead of us. We are being realistic, there is still a long way to go. Shakhtar will be a tough opponent for us in the next
round,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the midfielder admitted that it is difficult to win the league as Bayern Munich have a considerable lead at the top of the table. He stressed that there is still a chance to catch up with Bayern if the latter
does not play like it has in the first half of the season. However, he added that the title is Bayern Munich’s to lose and Dortmund will still try their best.
“It is still possible to win the league! It will be a huge accomplishment if we manage it, a miracle even. We will work hard, but it is no longer in our hands,” he concluded.
Borussia Dortmund are currently in third place on the Bundesliga standings table. They are behind the likes of Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, and are 12 points from the top.
