  1. K R is a top player and is crucial to NZ bringing home the cup.  The forward pack needs more guys like him cos he's a dead set mongrel.  Flavell let himself down abit towards the end of S12 & the test series maybe Ross Filipo.  He's pretty good for a south islander.

  2. Troy Flavell nxt cab of the rank.Keith Robinson is  awesome but has limited game time and is injury prone at the moment ,Flavell has the experience and is well accustomed to the AllBlack culture

The two canturbury locks are good provincial players but are not internationally or test match proven. We dnt want to send a lamb to the slaughter, the Africans,Australians the French even the English locks would eat them up on experience.

I really hope Robinson comes rite if not send Troy hes no mug and in an awesome pack you'll see the best of him

  3. I wouldn't have selected him, purely because of his unreal injury proneness,  Having said that, with Eaton and Ryan being unavalable for the world cup, I can see how a "true" lock was needed rather than Troy Flavell who is more of a blindside.

Robinson has the skill to be there, and if he is fit, he is in a real battle for a starting job.  Looks like they rolled the dice on him, but they came up snake eyes.  I hope they call in a replacement because Williams and Jack cant play too much before the knock out stages.  I know they played Hayman and Collins in the second row in their games against the Auckland/North Harbour barbarians, but that was more of a super emergency thing.

I know Troy Flavell so I am biased towards him being in the team, but I think I would still choose him over the other options like Ross Filipo.  Greg Rawlinson is a possibility too.  Rawlinson scrummages better than Troy and Filipo is better in the lineouts but Troy's workrate around the field is better than theirs.  If he can stay out of trouble, I'd have Troy.  Mind you, I would have taken Troy over Thorne in the first place.

Don't listen to me though.... I would have put Tana in the squad too and just played with 29.

  4. Don't believe the media hype. They are just monitoring his calf, being cautious, he'll be sweet. And fully worth the roll of the dice,  even if he misses the first round, if he's fit for the two  knock out games and looking good for the final he will show everyone just why he was selected. Totally rate the man, great player and I think he really helps to lift the performance of the guys around him. Jack always seems to grow an extra lung and play out of his skin when he is paired with Robo.

If we lose Jack or Williams in the early pool matches. . . mmm. . . we will have a little problem. Of course Thorne can plug the gap at lock as an emergency stop gap measure, but I sure hope Flavell hasn't shelved his French phrase book just yet.

  5. Robbo shouldn't have gone, will the selectors ever learn?

Never mind Flavell, too much of a liability, here's a couple of outside picks for AB Locks.  Two up and coming Locks from Canterbury.   Issac Ross and Kevin O'Neill. Definitely ones to watch out for!

  6. hmm i highly rate robinson, a great assest, yet i think i would still pick williams and jack over him (williams was in incredible form before he got injured) and jack is jack, he needs to be there. saying that why carry an injury into the RWC?? this guy is always injured. flavell is a great impact player and should be over there. makes his presence felt
